Applicant must be between 7 – 17yrs: with
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage and/or
Experiencing Financial difficulty
Artistic Merit & desire to develop their Personal self through art.
Complete form with Guardian.
Applicant to fill in questionnaire and Principal Signature from their school.
Submit 2 original artworks as JPEG images to support application.

Applications will be available from Sunday September 1 with Submissions closing on January 13th, 2020. Application forms need to be downloaded from the Enrol page of the Sienna Art Space website as a PDF file.
The Scholarship Award Recipient will be notified, along with unsuccessful applicants by January 20th, 2020.
Name of the recipient will only be publicized at the discretion of the awardee.
Conditions of Enrolment 2019-2020 – Overview
Class fees are listed with class details on the website. Full payment is required as online transfer. All information is listed on the Enrol page. Cash is not accepted. Payment secures your place. There are no adjusted fees or reduced fees due to Family Holidays. Term payment is based on a 10 week structure.
Cancellations & Refunds
In the circumstance that insufficient students enroll in a class or workshop, Sienna Art Space reserves the right to cancel the class. In this circumstance, all students enrolled will be contacted and a refund arranged.
Please be aware that fees are non-refundable unless otherwise negotiated for an unexpected and extended illness. There are no transfers or refunds in the event that a class is missed. No refunds are possible once the course has commenced. Where the Facilitator requires the need to cancel a class, available during Holiday Period or Students may attend an alternate class time to ‘make up’ the missed class.
Absenteeism, Punctuality & Collection of Child Students
In the event of absences due to sickness or other personal/family reasons, students may attend a ‘make up class’ during the same term period. Students or Student Parents must notify the Facilitator of the time they wish to make up the class as a general courtesy.
In respect of the tutor and other class members, students are requested to arrive 5 minutes prior to class commencement ( no earlier). Children and teenagers (11 – 18 yrs) should be escorted to and from the premises by a parent or guardian. Please ensure that they are collected promptly at the end of the class. No Parent or Guardian may Block a driveway, park in the 526 driveway or expect their child to walk to their car. They must respect my Home residence and WHS, as well as nearby residents. Any upsetting Visitors or non-complying student cars may be Reported to the Police or their Enrolment/Childs enrolment may be terminated. It is Respectful manners and correct parking is important to ensure safety. Please consider flow awareness, injury-precautions and neighbours private property.
At times, we understand that students may be late for a variety of reasons. Studio Juniors should be prompt to class due to the short timeframe of learning and nature of structure and explicit instructions needed to organize learners at the beginning of the lesson. Repeated instructions with late comers impeded the learning and overall productivity of the hour’s art lesson.
All Material requirements for students are clearly stated on the Class Descriptions.
Students in Studio Kids 7 – 12 yrs must purchase Art Packs from Sienna Art Space on first enrollment.
This is a mandatory pack for purchase to ensure students have a core set of personal materials and ensuring equality and appropriateness of materials for our Structured Program. All other Dry & Wet Materials, drawing and painting supports are supplied and included in the Studio Fee. Some classes are provided with Materials as indicated clearly on the Class Descriptions of the website. All students receive a folder and periodic class notes throughout the course of learning as part of their enrollment fee. All students must ensure they are well-equipped for class. There is a no-borrow policy for child students unless between family members. All child students are supplied with an art smock in class to avoid clothes stains, however they may choose to wear their own if preferred. Mature Students requiring advice on Suppliers, Materials and Equipment suitable to their current learning journey, may seek suggestions from their Facilitator. Selected Materials & Equipment may be available through Erin directly for purchase.
From time to time photographs will be taken during class of students participating in class activities and of student products. Some select photos are used for Sienna Art Space promotional purposes such as advertising website imagery and social media. These photos will be used exclusively by and for Sienna Art Space.
Upon enrollment, consent is given automatically. Please request no photos in writing with Enrolment if you do not wish for this to be the case.
Sienna Art Space, as a mobile art school hires premises and it is paramount that this space be maintained in a clean manner by all that use it. As a shared space, it is an expectation that all students respect each other, each other’s artworks and property. Children with ongoing inappropriate or disruptive behaviour will be asked to remedy their behaviour. Such students will be issued with a formal warning in conversation with their parent. This ensures maintenance of a supportive, productive atmosphere.
Health & Safety
Your Facilitator will address all Health & Safety Guidelines and potential hazards at the beginning of term and where necessary during each class. To ensure student welfare: medical conditions, allergies or disabilities should be brought to the attention of the tutor upon enrollment. Epi-pens, asthma products and other medicines prescribed to students requiring monitoring should be given directly to the Facilitator at the beginning of each lesson where required.
Water is available during art lessons, however it is the Students responsibility to bring with them a Water Bottle ( and small snack if required ). Eating should not occur in the physical classroom.
Several students are anaphylactic, therefore no Nut Products and snacks with Nut Traces should be consumed in any given class. We have a Product Consumption Policy to maintain Safety for all Studio participants.
Medical Consent Forms must be filled in at first enrolment to ensure permissions to attend to Basic First Aid Situations, and where necessary both contact information of Guardians and permission is given to transport the student to the nearest Hospital.
Sienna Art Space believes that it is inappropriate for Stage 6 Students of Visual Arts & Design & Technology to be working on HSC Works during Studio Classes. Doing so for this Assessment would be unethical, disrespectful and aids unfair advantage for the child. In the instance that a student needs advice about general art practice, technical advice and further syllabus understanding from their participation in High school or Primary subjects related to visual art where needed, students may seek assistance from their Facilitator as an experienced Teacher in this area. It is important that students and parents recognise Assessable items are all students own work.
Facilitation at Sienna Art Space prides itself on transparency of practice and also the communication of the evolving structure through Certification Outcomes and the encouragement of child students to discuss with their guardians content and learnings.
Our 2019-20 Discipline, Personal Conduct & Safety Rules are detailed clearly as visual posters for students at all times.

Sienna Art Space will from time to time send mail and email to students and past students for the purposes of marketing. 2019-2020 Risk Assessments Overviews & Schedule
This document is an overview skeleton only, with Studio-on-site records and visible reference materials and displays available to Staff & Public documents, to participants in Studio services. Sub-documents include private records about inclusive materials in Art kit and products used in healing practice. All of these are subject to Copyright but with transparent acknowledgement given to Studio participants and Clients.
Signage includes: Evacuation Diagram, Emergency Contact Numbers, Crisis Help & Support Hotlines & Referral diagram, Exit, Entrance & Toilet plaques, Individual Plans for Emergency Response
Access Equipment includes: First Aid Kit, Epi Pen & Epi Pen Jr, Icepacks, Skin care products, Epsom salts, blankets and Wet-Area Hazard signage.
All of the following are checked manually and on an annual basis for Up to date product safety and in adherence with current, lawful practice. Staff training & Daily Spot Checks recognise active-provisions in the space and requirements for material storage, access and current knowledge to be employed in situations of crisis, mild-to-medium care or emotional upset.
It is the Director’s responsibility to ensure all of the above are adherent and compliant with Duty of Care Policy, Safety Requirements in NSW and in admission of individuals of various qualities of experience.
Dates for Observation & Checks are 7 days prior to Term Commencement and recommencement.
CONTROL OF HAZARDS
Part A: Studio Assessment & Controls
As part of visible philosophy and values, Sienna Art Space have outlines on the welcome to studio page of the website, yearly calendar date overview, timetable and Code of Conduct, updated annually for Parental and Adult awareness. Parking, safety exits, lockdown procedures, fire evacuation procedures and arrival-leaving procedures are explained before commencing classes and workshops. Clients for Energy Healing observe ID checks and pre-assessment procedures in conversation with the Energy practitioner. This ensures safety for the Practitioner and transparent practice for the client. Behaviour Monitoring and Anti-bullying is an active relationship, with communication and recorded assessment being a part of any challenging situations, injuries or individual participant concerns on site. Simple clear rules and safety regulations are explained and best practice demonstrated to all. This includes Etiquette principles which may includes potential risks, dangers or emotional upset to others, families or the business owner. Photography Permissions and disclaimers are signed upon enrolment to address awareness and align with annual updates for Business awareness and use of images. The website gives clear overview, to establish comprehensive awareness of services and all assessable reports given transparent understanding through outlined programming and objectives in which participants are working towards building repertoire and constant application in art activity. As general behaviour, Educational Psychology and Holistic Principles are observed in the energy of the Art School and Holistic Arts-Healing Services, with the regulation of activity to types of performance-constructs, artmaking quotients and space changes. This allows variation, break intervals, information relay-retention and experiences across different types of learning in dry and wet areas.
Part B: Art Related Flameables & Personal Items
All Products are AP approved non-toxic products for Child & Teens classes, pigments used by Adults are observed as low-to-medium toxicity, and ventilation-faceshields are instated for spray fixatives and adhesives. Storage is observed for non-leakages, high shelf verse main storage for access by Staff only. Swing devices and floor elements on furniture and collapsible outdoor easels are monitored to avoid injuries.
SD Datasheets & Risk of Harm Charts are located in accessible folders for Participants to read ad recognise product allocations and features. Before use, correct safe demonstrations and an explanation of features is given for all products – connecting values and relevant information about fixatives, paint pigments, mediums, bio-hazards and their Studio and/or personal-use discarding in the energy are addressed. Flamable items are labelled with product information and Individual Cupboard for Flameable Products is located away from view of children, young adults and immediate access points. Fire Evacuation Drilling is an aware simulation once yearly with overviews to all participants at initial enrolment. The Evacuation Procedures are visually communicated as a diagram and flow chart, overviewing exit strategy, and meeting point with safe return. Staff hard-hats are accessed in the same space as First Aid products.
To avoid exposure to product in instances of risk, Material Responses & Anaphalactic shock experiences are surveyed at initial enrolment, and precautions made to avoid situations of harm. Where necessary other participants are alerted to about the nature of materials, be they latex gloves, content awareness and food-snacks for studio breaks outside.
Storage of Bags, personal items and art kits are each participants responsibility with adequate storage space and personal options for placement. These are observed but ultimately Participants are responsible for their personal items. Enclosed shoes must be worn at all times, unless for meditation, dance and drum related activities indoors.
Part C: Risk Assessment Situations for Child & Adult Safety
All Equipment at the studio is assessed, observing non-access to sharps and related items which may cause harm. Safety and private access to Toilets is mandated in accordance with the Child Protection Act. Other situations of Risk include surveying locked, well-lit premises before, during and after class – ensuring that Drop Off and Collection by Parents is by an approved, recorded Legal Guardian as indicated at enrolment or otherwise communicated by an authorized care-giver.
Report Framework Dialogue for Soul-based Art Therapy definition statement & Healing Therapies are overviewed clearly in written and verbal for as transparent behaviours by the Energy Practitioner, for client awareness, ease and confidence. Emotional care and mental fatigue are monitored, with informed holistic strategies suggested where necessary for those experiencing immediate or acute responses in the energy.
Protection Statements & Observation Reporting are a visible construct to the Energy Practitioner only, based on privacy laws. Referral bodies and considered referrals of a specialized knowledge are based on observed, witnessed professional performance with best interests in mind for the client seeking direct support and knowledge acquisition.
Part D: Child Related Risks of Harm Circumstances Staff Guidelines & Awareness Training (Scheduled January 7, 2020)
Adherence to the Child Protection Act, involves adequate staffing and age-groupings, collection procedures and up-to-date approvals for all Child-related employment including staff volunteers. All staff at Sienna Art Space are registered and oversee conduct with yearly online training and awareness of best practice for servicing families, children and overseeing protection for all.
All staff are qualified First Aiders, observing Education guidelines and equipment provisions and procedures. These qualifications are updated every 3 years, with the Director also an active School teacher observing current records for Emergency Care, Duty of Care situations and Anti-bullying in the workplace. Regular Professional Development is a crucial consideration for redundancy and awareness of Individuals with various experiences in learning, social behaviours, and personal health risks. Staff Code of Conduct mandates respectful relationships, professional dress standards and safe delivery of service with all in mind.
All Clients in Healing services are over 18, with Practitioner awareness for how clients may respond from different viewpoints.
