In the future only students who have been a part of accrued, applied Studio experiences will be inducted based on portfolio submission into any given Certificate course.

About the Drawing & Painting Courses

 

. Personal development is a ‘Soul Compendium’ ( Developing Art across Artist- sketchbook, drawing and painting - paper and canvas )

 

. With Fine Arts vocabulary, these courses are structured with lead-in activities, focused content and a natural build for Beginners and those with previous tuition and studio artmaking experiences.

 

.There is ‘Seeker’ territory ‘in’ course content, inspirational teacher dialogue & ongoing elements throughout each Course to ‘awaken the fire’ for your own art dialogues & creative practice.

 

.Suits Life-long Learners. Those seeking experiential & personal development create art that is technical & conceptual. Motivation & Inspiration are two key teacher ingredients throughout each course.

 

.The Course gives Artists that are enrolled individual ‘time & space’ in their own practice, with prompts and inspiration forwarded from someone who has a diverse, technical expertise, professional experiences in art and an awareness for Aesthetics, Conceptual motivations across history and Spiritual focuses in the Energy.

 

.Connections to other Creative Processes & Artistic terrain Appreciation are referenced, including: Writing, Poetry, Music, Dance, Energy Work. Learners are only asked to focus on the Primary Focus of Artmaking in Drawing & Painting.

Interested students may choose to do just Course 1 or Course 1, 2 and 3 with an awareness they must be completed in order.

A formal certificate is awarded after each Course. Each course is open to Local Australian participants in 2023. 

The Art Filament Distance Courses have been running since Semester 1 2018.

Course Content

 

You will be led through ‘Creative Beginnings’ in Studio Process and asked to respond to Soul Responses in the making. A part of this Chapter is Foundations and the unpacking of ideas - scape - Who you are in the Art as a natural finding. Erin guides you through a series of activities & topics below, with artmaking projects (some short and more extended). 4 hours per week includes reading time and response in artmaking time for you to Create for Self.  Artmaking focus is primarily Drawing & Mixed Media Responses using optional painting mediums. The Art journey begins development in technique, concepts and experiences.

Student Requirements

Equipment / Art Materials: You will need a simple set of Drawing Media with list made available at the start of the course. Pencils, Soft pastel, paper or sketchbook, with acrylic paint optional for any mixed media creations. Advice is given at the start of the course allowing you to use already owned Art materials with other suggestions from more economical

( budget options ) to more Artist-brand quality. This is flexible and with options so that Artists can explore and experiment, without excessive outlay.

 

You will receive a Printed Course Materials Reading & Activities Booklet in the Mail at the start of the course. The booklet has Clear Instructions & Easy to Understand Steps, including Colour Templates and other Stimulus.

 

You will need Access to a Computer, Internet Access Email and Media Files (Audios). Programs: Microsoft Word for Typing Written Reflections that can be sent by Email. Sometimes Learners prefer Photographing Written Reflections using booklet templates as an option, if less confident with Computers. A family member or friend may like to support the Learner with submission where concern exists in this area. Art exercises & projects will be photographed as the main Completed part of the Course. Audio files are support for the Reading Material with a summary to refer back to.

Feedback & Completion of Art projects / Assessable items:

 

Constructive, typed feedback for Assessments.

 

Suggestions are clear and respond to performance, giving formative assessment

with earlier submissions and qualitative feedback. Support is offered throughout

the course for those who may need to speak directly over the phone to clarify

information.

 

While Studio Adults Delivery functions as a regular Studio Face-to-Face delivery

class, in contrast this is an at  Distance Course. It is all independent learning, with

guided content and activities required that you do in the comfort of your own home space.

Course Content

​

This 6 month course is for those that have completed Course 1: Art Foundations.

 

Throughout the artmaking activities of Course 2, you will build on your awareness of your core motivations in process, connect to ideas-driven practice and familiarize yourself with more ‘Energy concepts’

We draw a connection between how Artists function and look at appreciating a fine selection of diverse artworks to build familiarity for different kinds of Seekers who use the Art lens of Painting and Drawing. More opportunities for focusing on Painting are given, with Drawing output in projects maintained throughout the whole course.

 

A focus continues on technique, concepts and experience.

Course Content

 

This third certificate is for Artists who have completed Course 1: Art Foundations & Course 2: Art Resonance.

 

It is an year length Course, that once completed gives you a Diploma Award. Soul-Seekers who are wishing to build on their Artmaking Projects and refine their awareness of Creativity and examine closely their image generation ( Drawing & Painting ). Some of these, based on project development sequences may be in associated art forms for Art display and Exhibition experiences for the future. Throughout the course, support is given for those developing personal goals in their Artmaking and in exhibition awareness.

 

3 Development Projects guide each Artist through personal choices in their artmaking, working to resolve aspects of their making, looking at technique, concepts and experience.

Completion of a series of Projects over the 1 year.

Time frame is 40 weeks to complete, with Submission dates to guide timeframes and an

awareness of the culture of Working-Artist.

            for exhibition.

     3.4 Rewriting Scripts for Authentic Art Practice & Self-development in Artmaking.

Course Fees & Confirmation

 

Course Fees are listed on the Website and Updated Enrolment forms, bi-annually. Full payment is required as an online transfer by the Deadline for Enrolment Acceptance and a printed receipt is issued with your Course Materials sent to you, 1 week prior to course commencement. The Fee may not be adjusted or reduced for any reason. A Confirmation via Email will be issued once payment has been received and all mandatory paperwork has been received.

 

Cancellations & Refunds

 

As this Course is via Distance, Sienna Art Space issues confirmation to all Enrolments for advertised periods of Learning engagement. Sienna Art Space reserves the right to nominate Intake periods from year to year based on Distant Education for that year and Art School & Holistic Arts Service activities.

 

Please be aware that fees are non-refundable. In circumstances where Students experience Unexpected Illness of a Sustained nature, flexible timeframes may be negotiated in formal correspondence via email with the Course Coordinator. Agreed dates would be mutually arrived at to support the Student Participant in fulfilling the required assessment of the course and to benefit fully from the journey in Art making to satisfy enjoyment and to support them towards their satisfactory completion of the course. In the instance of illness, fees forwarded for the distance course are not transferrable for any other services hosted by Sienna Art Space.

 

Submission of Assessable Items

 

All assessments thoroughly explained in the printed Course Book received prior to course commencement, detail clearly Priority Dates for submitting at Intervals. These suggested dates offer a timeline response for projected goals and course adherence & managed time. Open communication is encouraged to ensure satisfaction and supported development throughout the course period. Student participants may notify the Course Developer throughout should they experience any concerns around completions of tasks.

 

As tasks are required to be completed as timely assessable items, Course provisions including the Course handbook are issued only 1 week prior to the course commencement. This ensures fairness based on time attribution and course length.

 

Art Materials - Provisions for Distance Course

 

All Materials required for student developmental response and practical tasks are the Student Participant’s own. Choice observances allow for individual budgeting and diverse responses in the making across Dry & Wet Materials for given tasks.

 

One week prior to the course, a number of provisions will be sent to you.

These include:

  • USB drive with Electronic Materials

  • Printed Course Book & separate Assessment Book

  • Introduction Manual

 

All Reference Lists will be select connections in the Course Material.

 

 

Photography

 

Sienna Art Space does not endorse Students as Profiling for Career Awareness and it may be not the case that any work is showcased visually for marketing awareness. Please be aware that this is a general awareness that selective Marketing is an active part of business process and vehicle for generating visible course participation. Should you not wish to agree to consent, you may choose to not tick the box awareness on the Enrolment Form.

 

Student Conduct

 

All communication between the Course Facilitator and the Student participant should be professional and respectful. Should there be any disrespectful communication to the Course Provider, a timely address will be made in writing and where needed participants may be expelled from the course at choice. This ensures maintenance of a supportive, respectful transference of information taking into account professional practice features for establishing best practice commercially and as general communication.

 

 

Health & Safety

 

Address of all Health & Safety Guidelines and potential hazards are made as written outlines in the Course Book as part of overviews and throughout the course learning materials. To ensure student welfare: medical conditions, allergies or aware learning requirements on behalf of the student participant at the point of enrolment, simply for the Course Facilitator’s general awareness. However, independent Distance students are self-governing and thus must observe their own energy, actions and responsive-health conversation in carrying out practical connections throughout the course. Any Student engagement principles of core-value such as Ergonomics, healthy time frames dedicated to learning and use of materials / equipment are built into course material. Individuals are responsible for their own Health during the course with only safe-provisions and holistic discovery energy journeying being a part of course outlines and delivery.

 

Studio Values & Authenticity of Submissions

 

Assessment is a valued requirement of all Courses via Distance. We appreciate authenticity and observe the use of photographs and as developmental process being part of submission. Upon enrolment, a driver’s license and or photo-identification is used to support honest engagement and authentication. It also ensures correspondence information for ID awareness in Certificates and Diploma accumulative award as a form of qualification. It is important that students participants are above 18 years old and respectful of the Learning at Sienna Art Space. It is also imperative that all Student participants recognise Assessable items are students own work.

 

 

Facilitation at Sienna Art Space prides itself on transparency of practice and also the communication of the evolving structure through Certification Outcomes.
